Haw River, NC (07-15-10)  A new postmaster was appointed for the North Carolina town of Haw River on July 15 at the Haw River Civic Center.  In particular, that new postmaster, Senior Member James Constable and the Honor Guard posting colors for the ceremony are all from the Burlington Composite Squadron.

For Senior Member Constable, a highlight of the evening was the support of his squadron and the flag-honoring ceremony.  Constable, his wife and six children hosted the festivities which included the mayor, town manager and council members.

Many comments were made about the professionalism of the cadets posting the colors and serving food.  Phrases such as “sharp”, “very mature and disciplined”, “military professionalism” and “stayed and helped out instead of running off” were remembered as notable by Constable.

Once again, the dependable cadets of the Civil Air Patrol have made us proud!
